A monitor watches a list endpoint (a profile's posts, a search, a channel's videos) and sends new items to your webhook. You do not poll.
Create one with POST /v1/monitors. The body has:
endpoint: the path of a list endpoint, with that endpoint's own parameters inparams.interval_minutes: 15 to 1440. The default is 60.webhook_url:httpson a public address. Private and internal addresses are refused.
The response includes webhook_secret (whsec_...), shown once. Store it. Verifying deliveries is in webhook signatures.
A monitor always reads the first page, fresh. cursor, max_age_days, raw and trim are not allowed on it. A team can have 100 monitors.
Each check costs the same as calling that endpoint yourself. A failed check costs nothing. The first check only records a baseline, so a new monitor does not send the rows that are already there. If the team is out of credits, the check is skipped and tried next interval. The monitor is not deleted.
If the platform keeps failing, the interval doubles, up to one day. A target that is gone (a deleted profile) is paused: active: false, with the reason in last_error.
List monitors and delete a monitor are free. Deleting stops further checks.
