SocialScrape documentation
SocialScrape is an API for public social media data. You send a GET request with your key and get back normalised JSON: the same field names for a profile, a post or a comment on every platform, and a null where a platform does not provide a field.
There are 189 endpoints across 34 platform and service groups. Every one follows the same rules, so what you learn on the first one works on the rest.
Start here#
- Quickstart: your first request in a few minutes.
- Authentication: the
x-api-keyheader, keys and teams. - Responses: the envelope around every answer.
- Credits and pricing: what a request costs. Failures and cached repeats are free.
- Errors: every error code and whether to retry.
Build with it#
- Pagination, Caching, Rate limits.
- Batch and jobs: many requests in one call, and long requests that answer later.
- AI transcription: transcripts for media that has no captions.
- Monitors and webhooks: get new posts pushed to you, signed.
- MCP and SDKs: use SocialScrape from an AI agent or from code.
- Switching from ScrapeCreators: the paths and parameter names you already use keep working.

What we serve#
Public, logged-out data only. We never log in to a platform, never use fake accounts and never return anything a visitor without an account could not see. Content a platform hides behind a login comes back as the private or age_restricted error. The rules for using the data are in the acceptable use policy; to have your own data removed, see takedown and opt-out.
