Ask for a takedown

Write to the privacy address. You do not need an account.

The takedown page is a draft for legal review. It is the process the draft describes.

SocialScrape retrieves public content for customers. If that content is about you, or you own it, you can ask for it to be removed. You do not need to be a customer.

Write to [email protected]. Include:

  1. The profile, handle or URL.
  2. Whether you want the cached data deleted, blocked so it is not served again, or both.
  3. How to reach you, and enough to show the data is yours or that you act for that person.

What the draft says we do: delete cached results that match, then block the handle or URL. A later customer request answers 410 removed and is not charged. We answer within 30 days. We cannot remove the content from the platform where it was published. A copy already delivered to a customer is outside our systems. If you delete it on the platform, a cached copy is gone on its own within 30 days.

Copyright notices go to the same address until a designated agent is registered. The takedown page lists what a notice has to contain. For harassment or a safety problem, write to [email protected]. See acceptable use.
