The SocialScrape Trigger starts the workflow when a monitor finds new rows: new videos, posts, comments or ads.
- Add a SocialScrape Trigger and choose the SocialScrape API credential.
- Set Endpoint to the list to watch. YouTube: Channel videos is
/v1/youtube/channel/videos. - Fill the fields that list needs. For channel videos that is Handle, ID or URL.
- Set Check Every (Minutes). The API accepts 15 to 1440. The default is 60.
- Activate the workflow. That creates the monitor and stores the signing secret. The webhook URL has to be public https. A private or internal address is refused.
- Deactivate the workflow to delete the monitor.
Each check is charged like one request to that endpoint. A failed check costs nothing. The first check only records a baseline, so rows that are already there are not sent as new. If the team is out of credits, the check is skipped and tried at the next interval.
Deliveries are checked against the monitor's signing secret. A repeated event id is ignored. Split Items is on by default: one item per new row, instead of one item per event.
A team can have 100 monitors. Creating and deleting them is free. Signatures, retries and the baseline check are in Monitors and webhooks.
