Q: Is there an SDK call for it?

The preview Python client has client.tiktok.video_transcript(...) and the TypeScript client client.tiktok.videoTranscript() . Both return the same envelope as the HTTP API. The packages are not published yet; plain HTTP works today in any language.

Parameters

`id`	string	one of	Numeric video id. Also accepted as `aweme_id`, `video_id`.
`language`	string		Preferred caption language (2-letter code: en, es, fr, de, it, ja, ko, zh). Also accepted as `lang`.
`ai_fallback`	boolean		Transcribe the audio with AI when the video has no captions. Set false to get no transcript instead, and no AI charge. Also accepted as `use_ai_as_fallback`.

Every request also accepts trim, raw and max_age_days.
