How it works

The tool shows what Instagram makes public: the name, bio, profile picture, link in bio, follower and following counts and whether the account is verified. Post counts are shown when Instagram supplies them. Private accounts show only the public header.

Questions

Does the person know I looked?

No. The lookup is made by SocialScrape, not from an Instagram account of yours, so there is no viewer list to appear on.

Why is the post count missing?

Instagram does not always include it. The API has a separate post count endpoint for it.

Is this tool free?

Yes. No account and no card. Each visitor gets a limited number of lookups an hour, so it stays free for everyone.

How do I get this data in my own app?

Send GET /v1/instagram/profile with your key in the x-api-key header. A request costs 1 credit. A repeat of something fetched recently costs 0 credits, and failed requests are free. See the reference.
