How it works
The tool shows the public profile: name, bio, company, location, followers and the number of public repositories. Below it are the account's most recently updated repositories, the page of them the API returns, ordered by stars.
Use this in your app
This tool calls GET /v1/github/user. See the reference, or get early access for a key.
It also calls /v1/github/user/repositories. Two requests, 1 credit each.
curl -G "https://api.socialscrape.io/v1/github/user" \
-H "x-api-key: $SOCIALSCRAPE_API_KEY" \

}
res = requests.get(

)

}).toString();
const res = await fetch(url, {

}Questions
Is this the GitHub API?
It is the SocialScrape GitHub endpoints, which return public profile and repository data in the same shape as every other platform.
Why are only some repositories shown?
One page of the most recently updated repositories is read. The API pages through all of them.
Is this tool free?
Yes. No account and no card. Each visitor gets a limited number of lookups an hour, so it stays free for everyone.
How do I get this data in my own app?
The tool makes several API calls; each one is a single request in your code. Send GET /v1/github/user with your key in the x-api-key header. A request costs 1 credit. A repeat of something fetched recently costs 0 credits, and failed requests are free. See the reference.
