Kick clip transcript

Beta GET /v1/kick/clip/transcript

GET /v1/kick/clip/transcript

Kick clips carry no caption track, so this is AI transcription of the clip's audio (flat 1 credit for clips of up to two minutes). With ai_fallback=false nothing is transcribed and nothing is charged.

  • Cost: 1 credit for captions; AI transcription 1 up to 2 minutes, then 1 per started minute
  • Status: Beta. Built and tested against recorded responses; the shape may still gain fields.
  • Cache: Results are kept up to 30 days; send max_age_days to reuse them for free.
  • Timeout: A request still running after about 25 seconds answers 202 with a job to poll (Batch and jobs).

Parameters#

ai_fallbackbooleannoTranscribe the audio with AI when the clip has no captions. Set false to get no transcript instead, and no AI charge. Default true. Also accepted as use_ai_as_fallback.

Every request also accepts:

  • trim: true for a smaller response without null fields and extra.
  • raw: true to also get the platform's original object as raw.
  • max_age_days: accept a cached result up to this many days old, for 0 credits (Caching).

Errors#

Failures are free: credits_charged is 0. Branch on error.code, never on the message.
